Is British Columbia’s Carbon Tax Good for Household Income?

In a brief by Navius Research, Noel Melton and Jotham Peters quantify the costs and benefits of the carbon tax on households, and find that the average household is better off with the carbon tax than without. A key reason is the government’s use of the carbon tax revenue to reduce personal and corporate income taxes, which also makes the province a more attractive jurisdiction for investment.
